Just Do It lifts the lid on climate activism and the daring troublemakers who have crossed the line to become modern-day outlaws. Documented over a year, Emily James' film follows these activists as they blockade factories, attack coal power stations and glue themselves to the trading floors of international banks despite the very real threat of arrest.

Just Do It on the red carpet!

This morning in the office we faced the debris from the JDI red carpet extravaganza that went off with a bang this weekend: a bottle of tequila, packets of popcorn kernels, and a whole lot of bunting.

An impressive 21-strong crew swept, wiped, mopped, scoured, polished and beautified until our venue (an occupied space in Central London) was fit to welcome our guests down the red carpet.

As the guests arrived our paps were waiting to snap them as they were handed glasses of homemade (thank you Cameron!) Elderflower champagne.

A huge thank you must also be extended to the A Taste of Freedom team Eloise and Emily for the delicious cocktails and ice-cream made from fruit that would have gone to waste. They went down a treat!

After the film had played to laughs, gasps, chuckles and tears, emotions were running high in the Q&A – it was a truly momentous occasion to watch the film alongside all the people who have made it possible, from cast to crew.

And then of course it was time to celebrate in true JDI style: with a big old shindig and plenty of dancing to Disco courtesy of our resident DJs Kevin, James, Lawrence & Sam.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the night happen, it was a massive feat of volunteer power and we’re enormously grateful to everyone who lent a hand preparing and dismantling the space. Our thanks also go to all of the photographers who turned up to “pap” our guests as they arrived, Pod Bluman and his fantastic team for making everything run smoothly on the tech side and bringing the event up to top notch professional spec, the People’s Kitchen for feeding the crew with delicious grub, the A Taste of Freedom ladies Eloise and Emily for their glamorous cocktails and ice-cream, the occupiers of the space for allowing us to hold the premiere there, and of course to all of our heads of department and Just Do It’s very own Cameron for coordinating it all.

Bring on the UK cinema release!
