Just Do It lifts the lid on climate activism and the daring troublemakers who have crossed the line to become modern-day outlaws. Documented over a year, Emily James' film follows these activists as they blockade factories, attack coal power stations and glue themselves to the trading floors of international banks despite the very real threat of arrest.

JDI on tour :: the Scotland diaries :: day two – Aberdeen

The second instalment in our Scottish tour was a visit to Aberdeen’s Belmont Picturehouse last night.

After the screening, we welcomed director Emily James, David Milne of the Tripping Up Trump campaign and NUS Scotland president Robin Parker to the stage for a discussion on the recent campaigns of NUS Scotland, the latest in the Tripping Up Trump efforts, and the portrayal of activists in the mainstream media. The Q&A was hosted by Suzanne Kelly of Aberdeen Voice.

The furthest North the film has ever been, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Belmont for having us and for allowing the post-Q&A discussion to continue in the bar!

Next stop: Inverness!
