"Rousing stuff"  ★★★★

Just Do It lifts the lid on climate activism and the daring troublemakers who have crossed the line to become modern-day outlaws. Documented over a year, Emily James' film follows these activists as they blockade factories, attack coal power stations and glue themselves to the trading floors of international banks despite the very real threat of arrest.

"A smart, funny, adrenalised portrait of 21st century activism" Danny Leigh - The Guardian

We want Just do It to espouse the ideals of autonomy and community enacted by the individuals and organisations featured in the film, and for its production to be in harmony with the principles and system critique found in the film. This is filmmaking as politics, as well as a film about politics.

We want this film to be seen by 1 Million people in the first year of its release.

Here’s the plan:

Right now, you might have noticed, the film is in cinemas nationwide.

In the not too distant future (once the restrictions of some big film festivals are out of the way) the film will be available under a Creative Commons, non-commercial license. We will distribute the film via free internet downloads and we’ll be seeding it on peer-to-peer sharing sites. Our plan has always been to make this film available for free, and we intend to stick to our guns!

However, as you can imagine, this plan has some rather obvious implications for our cash flow, so please take the time to visit our Fund this Film page. In order to make the film widely available and, eventually, free to watch, we need to keep the JDI machine rolling. So, if you want to help more people have access to this film, and make sure it gets seen by as many people as possible, help fund this film now. Support our revolutionary way of making this important film and  ensure that others can watch the film, go on, JUST DO IT.

Welcome to Just Do It!
