Founded by the now infamous Tim DeChristopher, Peaceful Uprising is one of the US’s most critical climate justice organizations. Dedicated to fighting for climate justice through non-violent direct action, they are at the heart of the US climate movement. Their brave acts of civil disobedience over the past years have pushed the entire movement to toughen up. Without their groundbreaking efforts, the mass actions around the Keystone pipeline would never have happend.
Now, this pivotal group is in need of our support. In recent weeks, it has come to light that their fiscal sponsor, International Humanities Center, has embezzled not only their money but that of over 200 other groups.
