William of Wykeham (1324-1404), bishop of Winchester and chancellor of England, was the founder of Winchester College and New College, Oxford.
He said this “Manners Maketh Man”.
Obviously the Daily Mail didn’t hear.
The Guardian clearly has manners. They offered us a fee for our photos with out even being asked. Even the Times can admit with they’ve been cheeky, they freely offered us £250 for using just one of our photos and said “Again thanks for being so understanding that I effectively ripped your image off Twitter – they are an excellent set of pictures so thank you. ” But the Mail Online, no, they can’t admit when they’ve been bad… instead they tried to bully us into believing that they had the right to steel our work and sell ad space next to it.
What do y’all think of manners? What’s polite and what’s just plain rude? I for one can’t stand people jumping queue’s (oh how wonderfully english! -ed). I mean, I genuinely can’t understand how people could think that its anyway near morally acceptable to push in. I’m at a complete loss as to how people can dismiss the queuing system. It makes PERFECT SENSE! You wait your BLOODY turn! and if i hear any more about ”..oh how english, ooh,how delightfully restrained and limp, just like the english, not like those passionate fiery europeans, god how wonderfully ALIVE they all are, not like the English, oh no..”, if i hear any more of that tosh then i’m, i’m…, i mean it’s just BEING POLITE, isn’t it?
