"Rousing stuff"  ★★★★
 Empire

Just Do It lifts the lid on climate activism and the daring troublemakers who have crossed the line to become modern-day outlaws. Documented over a year, Emily James' film follows these activists as they blockade factories, attack coal power stations and glue themselves to the trading floors of international banks despite the very real threat of arrest.

"A smart, funny, adrenalised portrait of 21st century activism" Danny Leigh - The Guardian

Calling talented volunteers!

This is us. The team. But we’re on the look out for some talented folk to join us and lend a hand with the film’s release.

Distribution Assistants

Now that the film is finished, we need to make sure it gets seen by as many people as possible.  We’re looking for some all round organised super helpful distribution assistants to get involved with the film’s release. We need somebody that revels in being organised, gets things done efficiently with little need for micro-managing – an all rounder with good computer and communication skills. Key tasks will include office management, fielding enquiries, copy writing, website updates, event organisation, networking and outreach around screenings and much more. We offer the chance to be involved in a unique, exciting project. You will learn a lot from getting stuck in and helping making this project a success as part of our team.

Translations – language checkers

Our aim is for one million people to see the film in the year after it is released. With this in mind, and with our extensive cinema and festival release in sight, we’re looking for translation checkers to make sure our translations our tip top, and match the English meaning. We’ve had a fantastic response to our translators callout and we’re very glad to now be translating the film into 9 languages! We want to make sure as many people as possible – the world over – get to enjoy it. We also need language checkers to make sure the translations are tip-top.

Checking will take 1 day at ITFC subtitling facilities in Hounslow. ITFC have a proven track record so this is a great opportunity to meet them and see how they work – perfect if you’re looking to get into foreign language translation. You must be London-based or nearby. This is a voluntary position, but we can cover your expenses and you’ll receive a copy of the DVD.

We are looking for checkers for these languages:

Mandarin (simplified) and Greek

If you’d like to get involved, please email Laura at jobs@just-do-it.org.uk explaining why you’re the person for the job. Thanks!
